Is the past really the past?

We apologise for the inconvienence of our absence for those of you who find our site informative and spiritually deepening.

Its easy to find it easy to bring up the past. The past of those you love and don't -reguardless of our ignorance of how it came about, or why. Everything we have been through brings us to who we are today. Yes, I'm sure all of you know that and have heard that.

You get into a fight with someone and what is the first and easiest thing to do to turn the knife more.....throw the past back in their face. Seems satisfying at the moment as your mind HOPES that they have regretful thoughts as well as bad memories in an effort to tear them down - via - verbally. However, if each of us sat back at analyzed ourselves, we would find that no one is better than another - reguardless of the past. Every sin is equal in the sight of God.

What would it be like if God brought EVERYTHING we have EVER done and replayed it for us as? Well, you will find out. When we all stand before the judgement seat of Christ, we will ALL answer for the things we have done - good AND bad.

I have learned the hard way that - when you begin to throw the past back in others faces, you - too - will have the past thrown in yours. Its not a pretty picture. Wheather small or large, at some point in time we have ALL done at least one thing that we have wished we had either thought through more or had never done at all. People make bad decisions. People are imperfect. But the worst thing we could do as christians is the opposite of what God does. How will people ever grow? How will they learn? How will they let go of days, months and years of scarring that they have left on themselves if we do not  help them look toward the future.

Micah 7:19 You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

If God treads our sins underfoot and hurls them into the depths of the sea, as christians, shouldn't we also?

The words you speak to others will either bring life or death. But we will ALL be faced with our pasts. Save it for God.

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Just Enough Light for the Step I'm On: Trusting God in the Tough Times
By Stormie Omartian

Psalm 9:10
Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

I am reminded of a little girl I know. She has a very loving father - who - when she needs it, disciplines her. When she is good - rewards her, and reguardless, lavishes his love on her continually. Becuase he is such an good father, this little girl doesn't take a step without his approval first. If she is on the playground, and someone hits her, her first instinct isn't to automatically hit back. But rather, turn, look at her father, in order to gain his perspective on what action to take. When she has done something wrong, she is so sensitive to him - as her father - that all it takes is one stern look to bring her to behave. Her dependence is on her father. One that she knows loves her, but will discipline her if needed, and one whom she trust in so much that she depends on him for guidance. He has shown her his love well.

This made me think a lot. About us as christians. How dependent are we on OUR heavenly Father? When someone does us wrong...do we first look to God and His word to find out how we are to handle the situation? Are we sensitive enough (sensitivity is developed through a healthy and daily prayer life and continual infeeding of the Word of God) that when we do wrong, it doesn't take much to get us back on track? I honestly believe this is how we are to be. Our sensitivity and dependence on the Lord and what he thinks and feels should be our number one repsonse to everything in our lives. Every area, every venue, everything. Now don't get me wrong. I do not believe you need to ask God what kind of coffee to drink. And I do believe most of you have common sense enough to know this. But on decisions that affect our lives such as; our friends, jobs, life partners, relationships, finances, time, effort, ministry, things we watch, read, say etc should be carefully examined and given over to God so He may guide us in these areas. Theses are the areas that shape and form our future as well as affect the lives of others around us. God WANTS us to be completely dependent on Him.

So many people in this world rely on a government that can run out of money, or people who let them down, drugs, sex and alcohol that can only temporarily cover their inner hurts and desires, and needs when all along there is a Father in Heaven yearning to direct, guide, heal, protect, love, nurture, provide for and defend the ones He created in His image.

Job 31:24-35 - 24 "If I have put my trust in gold
or said to pure gold, 'You are my security,'

25 if I have rejoiced over my great wealth,
the fortune my hands had gained,

26 if I have regarded the sun in its radiance
or the moon moving in splendor,

27 so that my heart was secretly enticed
and my hand offered them a kiss of homage,

28 then these also would be sins to be judged,
for I would have been unfaithful to God on high.

When we as christians take matters into our own hands using logic, experience, reaction and emotion or a combination, we basically tell God we are greater than Him, that we know what is best for us and we begin to create in ourselves our own 'god' - ourself. That is idolatry. (Psalm 31:6
I hate those who cling to worthless idols; I trust in the LORD.)
Why not look to God every time something goes on in your life? If your boss curses at you, why not keep silent, turn to your Father and have an open heart to recieve exactly how he wants you to handle the situation -  for HE alone knows best. And to take that step shows that we trust Him. Trust is the basis of every relationship, weather heavenly or earthly. Just as much as God wants to trust us (
1 Corinthians 4:2
Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful., Psalm 20:7
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God)  He wants us to trust His best for us. But we must crucify our flesh that screams what it wants and not what God wants.

2 Corinthians 1:9
Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

Are you..........a GOOD person?

When asked if they are going to Heaven when they die, many declare how 'good' they are. But Gods view of  'good' and our carnal mentality of 'good' differ and often......contradict.

We think if we feed the poor, save a puppy, help an old lady across the street, etc, that we are 'good' people. But God doesn't look at our actions as much as He does our hearts and THEN our actions. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and out of our hearts is what produces our actions. If we hate someone, we talk hatefully toward them. We act accordingly.

Luke 6:45
The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

But the Bible also says unless you remain in Christ, you are not going to inherit Heavens eternity. Remaining in Christ is not an 'act of kindness' but a lifestyle.

 John 15:5
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing...

Man looks on the outside but God looks at the heart. And when God looks at someone who doesn't know Him and hasn't accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior, their 'acts of kindness' mean nothing to Him. Faith without works is dead...and vice versa.

James 2:26
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
(and vice versa)

Romans 9:32 - Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone."

James 2:20 - You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?

Our spirit is dead until we accept Christ into our hearts. It then becomes alive. And the TRUE 'acts of kindness' are produced from our walk with God and having the fruits of the spirit.

Romans 8:10
But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

In addition - Did you know the Bible says there is no one who is good but God?

Psalm 14:3
All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one...

Now think about this...Jesus was a perfect man. And for anyone who says he was a 'good' man...He even denies that compliment by saying that God alone is good. True humility coming from a perfect creature of God.

Mark 10:18
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone.

God sent his son down from heaven to die on the cross for your sins. If you were the only one on this earth, He would have died for you. Salvation comes through repenting (saying sorry to God and turning away from sinning -Matthew 3:8
...Produce fruit in keeping with repentance...Mark 1:4
And so John came, baptizing... and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.) and asking Christ to come into your heart and dwell.

Ephesians 2:8-9   -   For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Nothing we do will mean we are going to heaven. Us being 'good' in our eyes is not what gets us to Heaven. Its accepting Christ into our hearts. Its not what WE do but what God does...THEN what we do from there...

Our Purpose:

Though some may not understand our purpose, We felt led to share with you scripture that explains more indebth of how and why we serve the way we do.

First and foremost - we do not want to sound fake or phony by not attempting to be on a more personal level with the people we are praying to reach. However our approach is that of pure warning and guidance. Our 'sermons' and 'devotions' come through much prayer and fasting as well as ideas that you give to us. So we are more than encouraged when you bring to us a topic we can further research and help you with that issue along the way. Please feel free to suggest.

We do have an email address on the site if any of you would rather further discuss things in a private manner. We will respect that highly.

As far as our approach - We feel we serve as a forerunner (not official - just one of many)  for the second coming of Christ. His return is so very near and we have little time. We would love to see everyone in Heaven with us however because there are many headed for hell, we are here to warn. Our warning comes through love and a desire to see Christ change lives so amazingly people want others to experience the same as well - in addition to attempting to save them from hell.

There are many levels of people spiritually - the baby christian, the adult christian, the elder, the unbeliever, the unholy, ungodly wrapped up with backsiders. We are here to help you all in some way or another.

Scripture purpose -

2 Chronicles 19:9 - He gave them these orders: "You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the LORD. 10 In every case that comes before you from your fellow countrymen who live in the cities—whether bloodshed or other concerns of the law, commands, decrees or ordinances—you are to warn them not to sin against the LORD; otherwise his wrath will come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not sin.

Ezekiel 33:8-9:
8 When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for [a] his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 9 But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself.

Ezekiel 3:18-21:
18 When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for [a] his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

20 "Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself."

A rich man died and went to hell and because his fate was sealed, he asked Abraham to send Lazarus to warn his brothers of their fate  if they didn't repent and turn to the Lord Almighty.

Luke 16:28:
.... Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'
